Canadian Certified Counsellor, C.S. Counselling & Consulting Services
Fertility, pregnancy, and reproductive loss are among the least discussed forms of grief there are.
People going through them are often surrounded by advice and almost never asked how they are. The losses frequently have no funeral, no acknowledgement, and no obvious point at which anyone is permitted to be sad. A great many people manage the whole thing without telling anyone at all.
This field is one of the areas Parveen works in, alongside anxiety, depression, grief, and the emotional strain of major life change.
Parveen is a certified counsellor and a member of the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association.
She works with adults, adolescents, and older adults, and her practice covers a broad range of emotional and mental health concerns, with particular depth in reproductive and fertility-related mental health.
Depending on your needs and her professional scope, counselling with Parveen may cover:
Fertility treatment does something particular to a person. It turns your body into a project with milestones and results, arranges your year around dates you did not choose, and asks you to hope carefully at intervals for as long as it takes.
It also tends to isolate people. Friends announce pregnancies. Family members ask questions they think are kind. Partners often cope in different ways and at different speeds, which can leave two people managing the same loss alone in the same house.
Reproductive loss is harder still because it is so rarely recognized as bereavement. People are expected back at work, back in conversation, back to normal, on a timeline that bears no relation to what happened.
There is no requirement to be at any particular stage to talk about the issue.
Some people come while treatment is ongoing, some after it ends, and some years later when something brings it back.
IVF & Infertility Counselling →Parveen works in a way that follows the client rather than applying one method to everyone.
Depending on your needs and her training, she may draw on:
You lead the direction of the work rather than having it decided for you.
Providing steady support through a difficult period rather than pushing for rapid change.
Examining how thoughts, feelings, and behaviour connect.
Building on what is already working.
Clearly explaining what is happening and why so you can work with it rather than feeling like it is happening to you.
She may be a particularly suitable fit if you are looking for someone who brings:
If you are unsure, the free consultation exists for that. It is a conversation about what has been happening, not a commitment.
Parveen holds the Canadian Certified Counsellor designation and is a member of the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association, membership number 11260965.
Canadian Certified Counsellor is a national professional certification rather than a provincial regulatory registration. Certification can be verified through the CCPA.
This distinction can matter for insurance. Some benefits plans cover services provided by a Canadian-certified counsellor, and some do not. It is worth confirming with your insurer before booking.
Credentials & Professional Standards →You don’t need to know where to start or have reached any particular point.
Tell us what has been happening, and we will see if Parveen or another team member is the right fit.
If you are in immediate danger or distress, please contact emergency services or a local crisis line. Ongoing counselling is not an emergency service.
