Counselling & Online Therapy for Toronto Residents

Ontario-Wide Virtual Counselling and an In-Person Option Just Outside the City

Toronto has no shortage of therapists. What it often lacks is availability.

People searching here frequently run into the same obstacles. Waiting lists of several weeks or months. Practices that are not taking new clients. Appointment times that only exist during working hours. Or a clinic that would be ideal if it were not a forty-minute subway ride in the wrong direction.

C.S. Counselling & Consulting Services works with Toronto residents virtually across Ontario and in person at our Brampton clinic for those in the west of the city.

We do not operate a clinic in Toronto. Our office is at:

2250 Bovaird Drive E, Suite 408, Brampton, ON L6R 0W3

How This Usually Works for Toronto Clients

Most Toronto clients meet with us online. That is the honest position, and it works well.

Virtual counselling is available across Ontario with selected therapists rather than the whole team. Mention it when you get in touch and we will tell you who is available. Sessions happen from home, from a private room at work, or from wherever you can speak without being overheard.

In-person sessions at the Brampton clinic are a realistic option if you are in the west end, in Etobicoke, in North York, or along the Highway 401 and 427 corridors. From the east end or downtown, the drive is long enough that virtual is usually the better arrangement.

Why Look Outside the City

A few reasons come up often enough to be worth naming.

Waiting times.

A practice slightly outside the core may have availability sooner. When you have finally decided to get help, a two-month wait is its own problem.

Distance from your life.

Some people specifically do not want counselling in the neighbourhood where they live and work. Virtual sessions with a clinic elsewhere put useful distance between the two.

Flexibility.

Online sessions remove the commute entirely, which for many Toronto residents is the single biggest obstacle.

A different perspective.

Our practice has profound experience with the concerns that come with life in the wider GTA, including immigration and settlement, family and generational tension, and the pressures of shift and commuting work.

Travelling to the Brampton Clinic

If you do want to attend in person, our office is on Bovaird Drive East near Airport Road, on the north side of Brampton.

Why Toronto Residents Choose C.S. Counselling

We have supported clients across the Greater Toronto Area since 2011. Coslyn Selby, RSW, a psychotherapist and registered social worker with over 20 years of professional counselling experience, leads the practice.

Her background includes work with government agencies, hospitals, legal clinics, courts, police services, probation and parole bodies, addiction centres, homeless shelters, and women's shelters across the GTA and Peel Region, which informs the practice's experience with domestic violence, anger, and substance-related concerns.

Our broader team includes registered psychotherapists, registered social workers, and a Canadian-certified counsellor, with a range of backgrounds and areas of focus.

Listen.

We start with what you have been experiencing.

Understand.

Work, family, culture, history, and circumstances may all be relevant. You decide which parts matter.

Support.

We work toward an appropriate direction based on your needs and your therapist's training.

Culture, Language, and City Life

Toronto's diversity is its defining feature, and it shapes what people bring to counselling.

Immigration and settlement, identity, family expectations across generations, professional credentials that did not transfer, and the isolation that can come with a big city are all common themes.

Sessions may be available in:

English Hindi Punjabi Urdu Gujarati
Availability depends on which clinician you see.
Culturally responsive counselling does not mean assuming your background explains what you are going through. It means letting you decide what is relevant.

No. Our clinic is in Brampton, and we support Toronto residents virtually or in person there.

Can I get counselling entirely online?

Yes, with selected therapists, anywhere in Ontario.

Is online counselling as effective as in-person?

For many concerns it works well. Some situations suit in-person sessions better, and your therapist will advise honestly during the consultation.

How quickly can I be seen?

Availability varies. Contact us and we will tell you what is realistic rather than putting you on an indefinite list.

Do I need a doctor's referral?

No.

How do I book?

By phone on 416-409-8045 or by email. There is no online booking system.

Do you offer a free consultation?

Yes, a free 30-minute consultation to discuss your concerns, ask questions, and explore therapist fit.

How long is a session?

60 minutes.

Will OHIP cover this?

No. OHIP does not cover private counselling for anyone in Ontario. Many private benefits plans provide coverage, depending on the clinician's designation. We do not bill insurers directly.

Can I attend in person occasionally?

In many cases yes, subject to therapist availability.
