Newcomers and settlement
Peel receives a significant share of new arrivals to Canada. Adjusting to a new country, rebuilding a career, credentials that do not transfer, and separation from family abroad are recurring themes.
One Clinic, Three Very Different Communities
The Peel Region covers Brampton, Mississauga, and Caledon. On paper, Peel Region is one administrative area. In practice it is a dense suburban city, a large lakefront city, and a rural town, and people in each of them look for counselling for different reasons and under different constraints.
C.S. Counselling & Consulting Services has worked across Peel since 2011, from our clinic in Brampton and virtually throughout Ontario.
Our office is at:

Peel is one of the fastest-growing and most diverse regions in Canada, and that shapes what arrives in a counselling room here.
Peel receives a significant share of new arrivals to Canada. Adjusting to a new country, rebuilding a career, credentials that do not transfer, and separation from family abroad are recurring themes.
Extended families sharing a home is common here, with real advantages and real pressures. Authority, privacy, and differing expectations between generations often need working out.
A great many people in Peel travel long distances for work or work irregular hours in logistics, healthcare, transport, and the airport economy. That affects sleep, relationships, family life, and when someone can realistically attend an appointment.
Outside central Mississauga and Brampton, mental health services thin out quickly, and public transit between Peel's communities is limited.
Our team supports individuals, couples, families, children, and youth across the region with:
Each community has its own page with local detail, travel information, and what we see most often there.
Our home clinic sits on Bovaird Drive East in the northeast of the city, close to Brampton Civic Hospital. In-person appointments are straightforward from anywhere in Brampton.
Counselling & Therapy at Our Brampton ClinicNo clinic here, but our Brampton office is a practical drive from much of the city, particularly Malton, Meadowvale, and the north.
Counselling & Online Therapy in MississaugaSouthern Caledon is minutes from our clinic. The rural north and east are further out, and virtual counselling is often the more realistic route.
Counselling & Online Therapy in CaledonOur clinic is on the northeast side of Brampton, which makes it closest to north Mississauga and southern Caledon.

The building is wheelchair accessible, with elevator access to the fourth floor and an accessible washroom on our floor. Designated accessible parking spaces are available.
If you need an accommodation of any kind, mention it when you get in touch.
Virtual counselling is available across Ontario with selected therapists rather than the whole team. Mention it when you get in touch and we will tell you who is available.
Given Peel's spread and limited transit between communities, online sessions often make the difference between attending counselling and not attending at all. They tend to suit people working shifts, managing childcare, living in rural Caledon, or simply unwilling to add another drive to a long day.
Explore Online CounsellingWe have worked in this region since 2011. The practice is led by Coslyn Selby, RSW, a psychotherapist and registered social worker with over 20 years of professional counselling experience, including work with hospitals, legal clinics, courts, police services, probation and parole bodies, addiction centres, homeless shelters, and women's shelters across the GTA and Peel Region.
Our team includes registered psychotherapists, registered social workers, and a Canadian certified counsellor, with a range of backgrounds and areas of focus. Every clinician's registration number is published, so you can verify it independently.
We start with what you have been experiencing rather than assuming we already know.
Work, family, culture, migration, and circumstances may all matter. You decide which parts matter.
We work toward an appropriate direction based on your needs and your therapist's training and scope.
Depending on the clinician, counselling may draw on Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, compassion-focused approaches, mindfulness-informed strategies and person-centred work.
Dozens of languages are spoken daily across this region, and the language someone works in is often not the language they can discuss difficult things in.
Sessions may be available in:
Culturally responsive counselling means you decide which parts of your background are relevant, rather than having them assumed.
